The goal of our Language & Business workshops is to improve the quality of communication within your team, and with your foreign clients and partners. Each workshop focuses on one specific skill, such as presentations, negotiations, e-mail correspondence, or networking. This will allow your team members to quickly acquire vocabulary, learn structures and start communicating effectively in these situations.

WHAT ARE YOU BUYING?
These are five standalone workshops that combine soft skills with language skills. You can buy them as a set or choose individual workshops. Each workshop focuses on one key competence, lasts 5 hours, and is conducted in English. Workshops take place in small groups of 4-8 people at your offices.
Below you will find an example range of topics covered. A detailed program is created based on a careful study of your needs. Before the workshop each participant will also receive a small task which will help us to fine-tune the materials and level of the workshop. Participants receive a set of materials in paper and electronic form.
Presentation skills
- you will repeat and consolidate key vocabulary and structures
- you will learn how to structure the presentation so that it supports the message
- you will learn what should and should not be on a good slide
- you will learn how to synthesise information and make it easier for the audience to understand it
- you will learn how to manage attention using various language means
- you will learn techniques for opening and closing presentations
Meetings & teleconferences
- you will repeat and consolidate key vocabulary and structures
- you will find out what makes a conference call or meeting successful
- you will learn the SPLIT model, which can support you in improving the quality of communication
- you will learn how to increase the participants’ activity during a conference call
- you will learn how to speak so that participants listen, understand and remember what you are saying
Business correspondence
- you will learn what good and bad email communication looks like
- you will find out why people sometimes do not read or understand your messages
- you will learn how to formulate emails to achieve the intended goal
- you will find out how to synthesise information and formulate conclusions
- you will learn a set of techniques needed to write messages which are easy to understand
- you will understand more about what plain English is
Negotiation skills
- you will repeat and consolidate key vocabulary and structures
- you will learn what negotiation styles are and how to negotiate with different cultures
- you will learn to form your “opening statement” and “BATNA”
- you will find out how to build convincing arguments
- you will learn how to say “no” in negotiations
- you will find out how to react to “no” in negotiations
- you will learn how to negotiate more successfully in English
Using English with different cultures
- you will learn how to communicate effectively with British people (vocabulary / structures)

- you will understand the differences in the use of English by selected nationalities and how it affects your communication
